FDTC EXCLUSIVE: Petey Announces New Spooky Empire Show for Summer 2011

rsz_mayhem

Christmas comes early for convention fans in Florida as Petey announces a second Spooky show set to debut in the summer of 2011!

As promised, Petey Mongelli, promoter of Spooky Empire's Ultimate Horror Weekend, will be making a HUGE announcement on today, Friday the 13th. However, always one to be full of surprises, Petey has chosen none other than From Dusk till Con to break the big news before posting it anywhere else, giving the convention going faithful of the Dusker Nation the exclusive first look!

Without further ado, allow me to give you the details straight from the horse's mouth, Petey himself:

"Everyone at Spooky Empire would like to thank you for supporting our event year after year. So we decided to do something over the top, and the only way to do it is to add a second show!

There are a lot of great guests that we've never been able to attain because the October dates never coincide with their schedules. So our goal is to bring in some of those guests we've never had before that you, the fans, have been asking for over the years. The Wyndham decided that they would like to thank you all too by offering an amazing rate for this event of $59 a night!

This show will have a slightly different format than our October show, but we guarantee, as always, you will be partying like never before!

The website will be launched right after Ultimate Horror Weekend in October, and guests will be announced at the show!"

Stay tuned to From Dusk till Con this weekend for more announcements from Spooky Empire, including the long awaited next batch of guest announcements for this October's Spooky Empire's Ultimate Horror Weekend, set to be the biggest and best incarnation of the Orlando convention yet!

  • Review: Black Christmas
FDTC site founder, Mr. Chainsaw, makes a case for why this criminally unheralded and often ignored gem is deserving to be labeled as the king of the slasher genre.
  • Review: Gremlins
Joe Dante’s Gremlins proudly takes those Christmas traditions so many hold dear and shove them right where the sun don’t shine.
  • Review: Santa's Slay
SANTA'S SLAY is frequently corny, sometimes bloody, and often outrageously over the top, but the film is always hilarious and never boring.
  • Review: Christmas Evil
Christmas Evil is a delightful little Xmas tale about a maniac turned Santa Claus who goes forth to avenge the wrongs done to him.
