RUTGER HAUER TO ATTEND MAD MONSTER PARTY IN CHARLOTTE, NC!

The MAD MONSTER PARTY horror convention is proud to announce our guest of honor RUTGER HAUER, star of Blade Runner, The Hitcher, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Batman Begins and many classic titles. The veteran actor has worked with Hollywood heavyweights Sidney Poitier, Ridley Scott, Sylvester Stallone and Nicholas Roeg and made his mark playing complicated villains and antiheroes. Hauer is arriving to attend the Mad Monster Party - March 23^rd through 25^th, 2012 at the Blake Hotel in Charlotte, NC. where the actor will meet and greet fans, answer questions about his unforgettable movie roles and sign autographs. Mr. Hauer will be promoting his international AIDS awareness foundation; The Rutger Hauer Starfish Association and proceeds from autograph sales and photo ops will benefit this worthy charity.

Rutger Hauer is a Dutch stage, television and film actor. His career began in 1969 with the title role in the popular Dutch television series Floris, directed by Paul Verhoeven. His film credits include Flesh + Blood, Blind Fury, Blade Runner (which made him a superstar in the US), The Hitcher, Nighthawks, Wedlock, Sin City, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Ladyhawke, Escape from Sobibor, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Osterman Weekend, The Blood of Heroes, Batman Begins, Hobo with a Shotgun and The Rite, to name a few. Hauer is a dedicated environmentalist and has founded an AIDS awareness organization, the Rutger Hauer Starfish Association.
