According to several sources in convention promotion circles, it is being said that long time fan favorite Betsy Palmer will be retiring from the con circuit in 2010. Best known for playing Mrs. Pamela Voorhees in the original Friday the 13th, the much beloved Palmer will make 3 final appearances before hanging up her axe: at Festival of Fiends in Indianapolis, IN, Nov. 20-23; at Texas Frightmare Weekend in Irving, TX, Apr. 30-May 2; and at Texas Fear Fest: Camp Blood in Lewisville, TX, Apr. 13-15.

Betsy turns 83 years young on November 1st. She has been busily working in television and film for the last 60 years and has been one of the most fan requested guests throughout her many years doing conventions.
