About Us

From Dusk Till Con is a website dedicated to all things related to horror/genre conventions and the con scene – the guests, the parties, and the independent filmmakers, artists, and writers working hard to break into the scene. On our site you will find the most up to date news on conventions happening all across the country, 365 days out of the year, as well as reports and reviews from the shows themselves and  interviews with the promoters and celebrities that make it all happen.

But we don’t stop just at the convention scene. From Dusk Till Con also offers no-nonsense, honest to goodness, by the fans-for the fans reviews of the latest horror out in theaters and on DVD. We dont take any money for advertisements from studios, distributors, or anyone in the industry so our opinion is 100% unbiased and we’re not afraid to tell it like it is – just bullshit-free, take it to the bank content that we proudly stand behind. Aside from film reviews, our coverage also includes anything else convention goers may have an interest in, from toys and collectibles, to comic books, to costuming.

We hope that you, the fan, find From Dusk Till Con to be a breath of fresh air from all of the other sites out there that would sooner blast you with commercials and pop-ups then cover the horror scene, and that our specific focus is to the benefit of con-hoppers everywhere, be it the first time newbie or the long time veteran. This site is dedicated to all of you, out of our mutual involvement and love for the very same things: Cons. Creeps. Culture.

Brutal and Bloody Regards,

Mr. Chainsaw and El Wray

  • Review: Black Christmas
FDTC site founder, Mr. Chainsaw, makes a case for why this criminally unheralded and often ignored gem is deserving to be labeled as the king of the slasher genre.
  • Review: Gremlins
Joe Dante’s Gremlins proudly takes those Christmas traditions so many hold dear and shove them right where the sun don’t shine.
  • Review: Santa's Slay
SANTA'S SLAY is frequently corny, sometimes bloody, and often outrageously over the top, but the film is always hilarious and never boring.
  • Review: Christmas Evil
Christmas Evil is a delightful little Xmas tale about a maniac turned Santa Claus who goes forth to avenge the wrongs done to him.
