Florida SuperCon Brings a Little Horror to its Show

Florida Super Con is a 3 day festival dedicated to Comic Books, Anime, Animation, Video Games, Fantasy and Sci-Fi that typically stays more towards the comic book sides of things. However at this year’s event, they have chosen to embrace the dark side and add more horror related guests than in the past.

Some of their current guest include . . .

Lloyd Kaufman - President and co-Founder of Troma Entertainment Film Studios, who has directed The Toxic Avenger, Class of Nuke Em High and Tromeo and Juliet just to name a few.

Herschell Gordon Lewis - THE GODFATHER OF GORE,  credited for creating the “splatter film” subgenre of horror. His credits include Blood Feast, A Taste of Blood, Color Me Blood Red and tons more. Lewis’s latest, The Uh-Oh Show, recently screened at Texas Frightmare Weekend.

Alex Vincent – Best known for playing Andy Barclay in the Child’s Play series.

Fred “The Hammer” Williamson – Former football star turned actor whose credits include From Dusk till Dawn and Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror, as well as starring roles in such blaxploitation classics as Hell Up in Harlem and Black Caesar.

For the paranormal fans, they have three members from the hit TV show Ghost Hunters Intl., Robb Demarest (Lead Investigator), Brandy Green (Case Manager) and Scott Tepperman (New Investigator).
