Spooky Empire Makes First Guest Announcements

Showcase

After much anticipation, (as well as much speculation on the FDTC message board) Spooky Empire announces the first few guests of what is sure to be another epic show happening October 8th-10th at the Wyndham Orlando Resort in Orlando, FL!

Proving true to early rumors and speculation, everyone’s favorite dream bogeyman, Robert Englund, will be returning to Spooky Empire in 2010. Best known for his portrayal of iconic villain, Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street, Englund is also a bonafide genre veteran having also appeared in such films as The Mangler, 2001 Maniacs, Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, Dead and Buried, The Phantom of the Opera, and Galaxy of Terror.

Joining Englund will be fellow Elm Street co-stars, series heroine, Heather Langenkamp – who’s Nancy Thompson character appeared in the original NOES as well as NOES 3 and Wes Craven’s New Nightmare – as well as Amanda Weiss, who played the role of Tina Grey in the original Nightmare on Elm Street.

Last, but certainly not least, putting the icing on the Nightmare on Elm Street reunion cake, film legend John Saxon will also be appearing at Spooky Empire 2010. Aside from appearing in A Nightmare on Elm Street (as well as A Nightmare on Elm Street 3), Saxon has appeared in well over a hundred films, including memorable roles in such films as Enter the Dragon, Tenebre, Battle Beyond the Stars, and Black Christmas.

Feeling, left out Friday the 13th fans? Well, how’s Betsy Palmer and Adrienne King sound to you? Both actresses – known for playing Pamela Voorhees and Alice Hardy in the initial installment in the Friday the 13th series – will be on hand at Spooky Empire 2010 for those who prefer their franchise to be set at Crystal Lake as opposed to Elm Street.

Not done yet, Spooky Empire also announced Danny Trejo (Machete, Predators, From Dusk Till Dawn), Tom Savini (Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Martin, Creepshow), and the father/son duo of Jake Busey (Starship Troopers, The Frighteners) and Gary Busey (Silver Bullet, Gingerdead Man, Predator 2)

Spooky Empire is just getting started and doing so on the right foot! for more info about Spooky Empire 2010, visit their official website at  http://www.spookyempire.com
